How to survive spring, chapter one

I was feeling sick, losing my mind
Heard about these treatments by a good friend of mine
He was always happy, smile on his face
He said he had a great time at the place

Ramones — Gimme Gimme Shock Treatment

My way to shut up my brain from overthinking is to go to a museum and enjoy beautiful art. That’s Schopenhauer’s idea — that art helps us survive in this painful life — in action. But that’s not always an applicable solution. Recently I found that drawing also helps. Those pictures are results of it. Everyone has a different solution to stay sane, to deal with meaninglessness, with madness, with oneself. The title of this post is due to Joey, one of those good friends that motivated me to start this blog. Her method to survive spring is baking cakes. Cakes she’s usually not eating herself but giving away to lucky ones, one of whom I have been :)
